Oh, dang, Hobofans, you're in for a real treat! We're almost done watching our tapes from Gencon - only 3 or 4 to go I think - and it's been spectacular. I think we've really got something going for us. Once we get through the final tapes, the good Doctor Boxcar will be uploading some stuff to Youtube so you can get a few hints of the hobo-ey goodness.

There were several good quotes from Sunday's viewing, but they all escape me right now. Fellow hobos, maybe you can recall a couple?

So, like, 6 years ago, I was at Toys'R'Us. And I was scanning the board games wall. And I saw this game called Dragon Strike.

It's a silly little kids' game, but it looked unique, and as I recall it was pretty cheap, so I bought it. The thing that sealed the deal was the tagline on the outside: "With Neck-Sweepin' Action!" Shortly thereafter I had a party, and I pulled it out to give it a try.

We made it through 4 more hours of tape last night, and I think we're more excited than ever about what we've got, and what we can do with it.

Today I'm going to talk about Zygote Games' Bone Wars.

I picked this up at Gencon '08 at the same time I grabbed Parasites Unleashed. When we interviewed the game designer, he really seemed excited about Bone Wars. I believe he said this was it's second Gencon, and they were having a lot of success with it.

I'm not surprised. The game is really a delight.

Well, Well, Well, So it has begun, the watching of the raw footage. We have just over 16 hours to churn through in the next few months. Last night we watched the first three hours. This covered our entrance and the first day. The filming looks very promising so far. We all seem to have some skill that we have been able to contribute to the shooting.

What what, Hobofans?!

Tonight is the true beginning of post-production on Hobocon. Tonight we begin to watch the raw footage from our ordeal. Tonight we begin to separate the corn from the crap. Tonight we begin the construction of our film.
