What up B's

It has been a while since I last posted. I have been shoveling a crap load of snow of late, but now I am back for a moment. I want to give a shout out to the subscribers of our wonderful videos. So to you guy in Sweden “ What up B and Game on!” and to you Troy “ Rock out with your with your Film out”. To everyone else, a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Oh my goodness.

Our production soldiers on!!!

The magnanimous Doctor Boxcar continues, even now, to assemble our ripe carte-de-visite into something resembling a coherent photoplay.

However, Hobofans, let me tell you. December has turned out to be a somewhat stressful month. I'm not going to go into details, but I think we accidently stepped on some toes recently. I cannot express to you how sorry we are for upsetting the balance of the Universe. Our intention was only ever to entertain. Never to interfere. We can only hope for kindness and forgiveness.

Add to that:

Our newest clip on YouTube!

Ok, here's the link:

And now I want to talk about it for a minute.

One viewer made a comment on there about the number of attendees. And y'know what? He was right. We got our numbers mixed up. And we'll make sure we fix that for the doc.

What the F IS Gencon ANYWAY?!?!

Yeah, so, I imagine there are plenty of people out there who really have no idea what Gencon is, but are fascinated by Hobocon. Well, WE HAVE THE CURE!!!

Watch and enjoy, my friends. A little taste of Hobocon -- THE DOCUMENTARY!!!!

What I'm saying is, Doctor Boxcar got a new clip from the film ready for Youtube. So go watch it.

Progress Update

Ahoy, Hobofans!

Just a quick check-in. We're still working hard on our post production duties. It's going a little slower than we'd hoped, but we are moving forward.

We expect to have a new clip on YouTube this weekend, so look out for that.

Did you mean "Homocon or Hoboken"

So in the last few months I have been burning up the net with generating traffic to our site and getting the word out about our movie. This has brought me to my latest post. When we first launched our site the search engines were having a hard time finding us. No surprise, well then it started to take off. That lead to the search query in Google and Yahoo, Did you mean “Homocon”. No, We did not f-ing mean “Homocon”. We actually had people report back to us that they thought our site was not what we said it was, Idiots!

Blender 3D

Hey there, Hobofans. Have you heard of a little software package called Blender? No? Oh, well, it's pretty cool. I thought I might take a moment to talk about it.

It's this totally righteous 3D modeling and animation program. You can get it for free at www.blender.org It's a little tough to get the hang of, but the good news is that there are hundreds of tutorials for it online, and an excellent community of people working together to help newbies.

Gas Maaaan

Well I do not have any new news at the moment, other than we are getting closer to our first rough cut. So I though I would take my blog in a new direction for a moment. Where I live we have access to E-85 gasoline. You know the gas that all the flex fuel vehicles can use to save our country from the terrorist! Well, the price of regular gas has now dropped below the subsidized price of the E-85. How will we protect ourselves now that we can’t even produce this savior/ inferior gas for less than regular will sell for?

Just checking in.

Hey gang. How's it going? I thought I'd check in with some status. I've posted some stuff on here lately, but it hasn't really been about what we're doing.

So what are we doing? Well, we're getting pretty deep into post-production. You've seen the work Doctor Boxcar did on the teaser trailers. We're pretty excited about that. He's now finished importing all the footage to his Uber-Mac to get going on a rough assembly of the film. We're still shooting for a rough cut sometime in December.

Game Review - Jumpin' Monkeys

So, you've probably started to catch on by now that I really like kids' games. When I go to the store to buy a game, I pretty much go straight for the "ages 5 and up" stuff. Why? Well, they're usually very simple. You've got to design a pretty simple game if a 5 year old is going to play it. To make a game that is mechanically simple but fun to play, you've got to be really innovative with your design. That's what gets me excited.

That's Jumpin' Monkeys.
