Well Hobo fans, the time has come to pimp out our latest cut of the documentary. I met with Dr. Boxcar this weekend and he informed me that the latest cut of the movie will be in my hot hands soon. I can’t wait! I will let every one know how the new focus groups go. Till then, Later.

Sorry about my last blog entry. It was a real downer. It's been a rough few weeks in Benny's world. Let's re-focus on the awesomenicity that is HOBOCON!!!

We're going fast and furious recutting and reshaping the film. We've made some major changes that are really tightening things up and making a leaner and meaner and cleaner product. You're gonna love it!

Hello, Hobofans.

I'm exhausted. I've been living in the land of stomach acid and anxiety for the last month. See, the company I work for is about to be sold. Rumors say it'll all go down tomorrow. The stress has been building up on everyone in the office since last July, and it's peaking right now. No one in the company has any idea whether they'll get to keep their jobs or not. The word floating around is about huge layoffs. But we won't know anything until it happens.

So I'm stressed out. But not for the reason you might think.

Ok peep’s, it has been a while since I lasted posted. There hasn’t been too much to say, I am still plugging away at my ad campaign. Today a little rant came into my life. I regularly listen to a local morning radio show called Free Beer and Hot wings. If you are in the backwaters of radio land and don’t get these guys, well you should stream them on the net. Here is as follows my rant that I sent them to their lame A e-mail.

Yeah... so... I got in a fight with the prick at Best Buy. It didn't come to blows, but I made it clear what my opinion was of his technical knowledge and interpersonal skills.

Here's the story:

I'm guessing you want to know how the movie is going, eh?

Doctor Boxcar has mostly been sitting on his butt watching episodes of Project: Runway on the new 64 inch widescreen LCD HDTV which suddenly appeared in his living room sometime on or around December 25th. Even when his ugly mug is at work, I can see him gazing wistfully into the distance, wondering what Tyra will be wearing in the next episode. I dread the day he buys a Blu-Ray player.

Focus groups, that is what we are up to now. With the first rough cut in the bag we are now pimping it out to a few trusted friends to give us the “What The F” or “You Guys Rock” word. I am very anxious to hear what they have to say. I know that we think we are funny and fun to watch but there is a fine line between that and just being idiots. I believe we are not the latter but that will have to be seen. These first groups are a mixture of gamers, non-gamers, hot single girls and husbands/ wives with kids.

Whew! What a relief! The rough cut is done. And an even bigger relief: WE LIKED IT!!! I've got to tell you, I was worried for a while. I wasn't sure if we actually had a movie here. A fun adventure, yes. Some crazy footage, yes. But I wasn't sure if we had a whole motion picture that we could show to people without explaining stuff in advance. Now, for the first time, I feel like we've really got something here.

Real quick update. Dr. Boxcar is almost done withe the first rough cut of the film. We'll be watching it as a group this weekend.

I look forward to giving you all my reaction. I am optimistic.
