Fast times at Hobocon high

Well, the last few days have been a crazy whirlwind of activities for the Hobocon crew and me. We sent out press packets to potential sellers for us at GenCon and beyond. We have also received word that Hobocon will now be shown at GenCon. This will be the premier of our crazy film before we send it out to the film festivals. I am sooooooo excited! I would like to take a minute to have everyone visit our potential vendors and check them out. They are all very cool and diverse in their offerings, so I am sure you will find something you like.

Pushing Forward

Here we are coming up on our last cut. We are putting in some lost footage, trimming up the confessionals and replacing a few previously removed items. This is scary and exciting, all at the same time. While all of this is going on we are working on securing vendors for our fine film for the summer convention season. So far we have been able to secure a few potentials. Yea for us!

Penguicon - Post Script

Ok, so we drove two hours to Penguicon to see Wil Wheaton. We paid $30 each to get into Penguicon to see Wil Wheaton. We paid $3 each at an ATM to get some cash out to get into Penguicon to see Wil Wheaton, because Penguicon wouldn't take debit cards.

Wil Wheaton did not show up.

Wil Wheaton is a douche.

It wasn't all bad. Penguicon was kinda cool. The good Doctor Boxcar and I had never been, so we weren't sure what to expect. Yes, it was significantly smaller than Gencon. But everything is smaller than Gencon. The dealer room had some cool stuff for sale.

Penguicon

Just a quick update, Hobofans! Doctor Boxcar and I will be going to Penguicon in Romulus, MI this Saturday, May 2nd. We don't have a booth or table or anything. We'll just be wandering around talking to people about Hobocon. Plus, we hear that Wil Wheaton will be there. So naturally we're going to try to get a copy of our movie in his hands. Wish us luck!!!

To the presses!

Here we are in the final stretch, well as editing goes. Our last focus groups have given us the info that we needed. Where to put the subtitles, who is everyone’s favorite hobo, what to include in the interviews ect… I am very excited about this. We have also nailed down the disk and cover art. As soon as we get our review back from http://www.aintitcool.com we can send the cover to press. So hold on hobo fans the disk are coming! The disk are coming!

Station.

Yeah, I am pretty awesome with the news updates. Awesomer than anyone else. Especially Doctor Boxcar. Seriously, Doc? When was the last time you posted something on here? Like, 1987? Are ya dead? HELLOOOO????

I had news too!

Benny keeps beating me to the punch on posting our latest news. So here is something he is not aware of. While at the Con we met some ladies who were blogers. They were there to check out all the happenings. They were pretty fun so I kept track of their site. They just posted their article about GenCon. It is pretty funny, so check it out.

Brief news update...

Things are looking up for us to maybe have a showing at Kuzuri Con. www.kuzuricon.org We're preparing a print of the movie to send to them for approval, and crossing our fingers that they like it.

We've got a lead at Ain't It Cool News to send a copy for them to take a look at as well. www.aintitcool.com I'm really praying that they give us some comments we can put on the DVD cover, good or bad. Either would be completely awesome.

More news as it happens.

Big happenings

Hello. Lots of action right now. We've contacted Gencon to see about a showing of the film. We've reviewed our second cut and are making some final changes. I'm working on the DVD cover art. We're also going to see about getting a showing at another gaming convention in the area. Maybe some theaters in Indianapolis...

Lots happening.
